Why did you decide to start your own business?
I had handled every situation imaginable in labor relations working for the NLRB, in private practice and for large companies. At this point in my career, I was ready to shift gears. As a result of my experience, I had developed considerable expertise and wanted to transfer my knowledge to others in a highly participatory environment using state-of-the art techniques. I set out to create a company that would do just that.
What do you mean "state of the art" training?
It is training that is learner-centered and performance-based. It uses a multi-media approach to engage adult learners through interactive exercises. For example, our videos are entertaining, engaging, and informative. We stop the videos to ask the audience what they would do when faced with various scenarios. It forces thinking and greatly improves retention.
What tools do you use?
We developed a proprietary App that gives supervision access to expert analysis from their smart phone, tablet or computer whenever they encounter a potential disciplinary issue that requires immediate action. The App provides in-the-moment answers on how to proceed.
